Peoples tournament in New England is the best paying tournament around. For $70.00 you can bowl for $5,000.00 1st place, 2,500.00 second etc. The tournament is handicap and everyone qualifies together. Match play is then based on the highest entering average against the next highest average. This way in match play you are first going against a bowler of equal skill. You must be averaging 225 or under to be able to enter. Consideration is taken by the tournament director, Sherman Cowan for others. There are about 250 entries per stop. The shot is a long oil pattern (with maybe Town Line the exception). Cuts have been from 626 to 671. With so much money and side pots and scratch and hdcp. brackets how can anyone not be interested. The money is there. Hope to see more NY and NJ bowlers. Maybe we can make this another Keghler!!!!
