...and people wonder why bowling gets a bad rap. Everytime someone tries to post some legitimate mini tournies or some action, so numbskull has to chime in with their infantile response.

bigbowler, this is the first and only time I will respond to you about this topic. No, I don't own Fiesta, although I used to bowl there before you were born.
Sue does a job that is appreciated by many and you really need to get a life and post about something else for a change.

GET THIS STRAIGHT--STOP YOUR BULLSHIT! YOU SENT ME SOME PM'S--I DECIDED TO DELETE THEM, SINCE YOU ARE A POOR EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN. TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS, I'M GOING TO ISSUE A CHALLENGE TO BIGBOWLER--IDENTLFY YOURSELF TO EVERYONE HERE. EVERYONE KNOWS WHO I AM, NOW REVEAL YOURSELF. YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT CHRIS AND MIKE--THEY ARE FRIENDS OF MINE, AND THEY DO NOT BAD MOUTH SUSIE. IN FACT, SINCE THEY ARE UNABLE, DUE OT WORK CONSTRAINTS TO RUN THESE EVENTS THEMSELVES, THEY ASKED SUE TO DO IT. PERSONALLY, I DON'T EVEN THINK YOU KNOW WHAT GOES ON. IN AS BLUNT AS TERMS AS I CAN PUT IT, YOU'RE A F***ING A$$HOLE. IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING TO SAY, SAY NOTHING.

Hey Tom, do you live in a DREAM WORLD OR SOMETHING cause even Sue said on here that the Harry O told her she can run them there i know of Chris & Mike and i know they did not tell her she can take over the tournament she saw the turn out they were getting so when they stopped running them there she probably thought hey if i can get what they were getting that would be great for my pocket which there is nothing wrong with that but NOBODY LIKES HER EVENTS THAT'S IT you can't bowl with 10 to 18 entries it's crazy you would have to be in the top 3 to get paid WHAT FUN IS THAT at least when Chris& Mike were running them they were paying 17 spots alot better correct TOM
And again Sue i'm not trying to bash you get that straight if you listen when you are in the bowling alley you would hear that people don't want to bother with your events

Tommy,
Like I told you before, responding to morons like bigbowler only encourages them. Let him have his five minutes of fame. Anyone with sense knows he is full of hot air.
I guarantee that you and I know Chris and Mike better than bigbowler. You also know that I have told both of them, both separately and together, that I would gladly relinqush the tournament back to them at any time.
I guess it is hard for little minds like bigbowlers to understand that some people don't have ulterior motives.
Again, I thank you for your support, but please ignore him. He is a waste of time.

Another great night at Homefield Bowl. Congrats to Leo Hernandez on a very impressive performance. Leo qualified with a 700+ scratch series and followed it up with another 269 in the final.
He then challenged the reigning King of the Hill, Chris Aponte and shot another 269 to capture the title. Way to go, Leo. Congrats also to Chris who held this title for five months.
We had 23 entries and paid 4 spots.
1st Leo Hernandez $400 2nd Wally Wallace $250 3rd Don Griffiths $100 4th Pierre Langley $75
Roll off: Leo Hernandez $25 + Free Entry to next month's tournament.
Many thanks to all for making this one a really fun tourney.

Hello Sue, I wish you would run more scratch tournaments i always see your tournaments list and most of them are handicap so i was wondering if you can run some more scratch ones if possible i see you only run the tournaments in Fiesta and Homefield so maybe you can try to run one scratch in both houses

Where is the oil,
I have not done a scratch tourney at Fiesta. I never had anyone ask before. I am not sure how many of the house bowlers would be interested. As far as why there are more handicap tournaments than scratch, the bowlers just don't seem to come out for the scratch events. I've done them at White Plains, Paradise and Homefield. Homefield seems to get the biggest draw. At the scratch events, everyone sits around waiting for someone else to sign up. Handicappers look forward to having something to do. Go figure.
If you or your colleagues have a special request for a different type of tourney, I will be happy tp arrange it.

Where is the oil,
You are right. When my partner, Al, first started the King of the Hill at Homefield, we got very nice turnouts. I did the scoring and brackets. Those were the only tournaments running on a consistant basis. Then I did a similar tourney, once a month, at Paradise. Also, the managenent started one, once a month, at White Plains. Instead of a tournament once a month, now there was one almost every week.
In addition to that, Al and I ran a 10 game marathon at Homefield. The house just bought a new oiling and stripping machine and the shot turned out to be a nightmare. Similarly, the next King of the Hill was also a difficult shot. The shot has now been adjusted and the conditions are 100% better. Unfortunately, we already lost most of our entries due to the above reasons. We are in the process of rebuilding our bowlers' trust. Al and I are confident that word of mouth will spread the news that the conditions are very scorable.
In the meantime, keep watching this site for the postings of the scratch tournaments, or e-mail me directly. My address is listed.

Susie,
I bowled that 10-gamer at Homefield - If i remember correctly, Brian Soto won, and was the only "plus" bowler in the field.
That shot was tough, but tough for all (read - left & right - crankers & straight players), which made it an equal shot for all. Just because you couldn't close your eyes and throw it right and have the ball come charging back to the pocket (The "Blind Man's shot"), that does not make it an impossible shot - just a whole lot tougher than most bowlers are used to.
The plain truth is that there will always be more bowlers willing to bowl handicap tourneys than scratch, for the simple fact that there are not as many bowlers who consider themselves good enough to bowl in scratch tourneys.

To VNL1, Who wants to bowl on a tough shot was there 5000 on top? i don't think there was i don't even know if there was a thousand on top nobody wants to bowl on a tough shot for little money plain and simple, and if you remember the people that were comming to her events they were scratch bowlers she was getting the same faces every tournament that was scratch it has nothing to do that people don't think they are good enough

Where is the oil,
No there will not be enough bowlers for a tournament on Sunday because the tournament is on Saturday. the handicapped event is this Saturday (the 20th) at Fiesta Lanes and the scratch event is next Saturday (at Homefield).
I have no idea if VNL1 will bowl. I do know him. I trust him completely and these rumors have no basis in fact. The shirt fines were used to make up the deficit in the prize fund from bowlers who dropped out. It is as simple as that.
