LC you've just proved once again that you're still a loud mouth and an idiot. You stated that Rags was good before Viet NAM. Moron, he won his first stop before Viet NAM at 19. Youngest ever until Duke won at 18 in 1983. I'd say that's more than good beating the best in the world, which you never could. You did nada on tour that's why you quit. and some idiot above who said hornreich was good never saw him at his best. LC could not shine his shoes.

WHAT THE HELL HAS LOU DONE? HE WAS A NOTHING. SCIANNA HAS BOWLED AND BEATEN TOP 10 BOWLERS ON TOUR. RUDY WAS A GREAT ACTION BOWLER. KIDDER WAS THE BEST . HORNREICH WAS GOOD. SPALLONE WAS GOOD. BEHRBOM WAS THE KING FOR A WHILE. CAPASSO WAS A NO FACTOR. NEVER EVEN MENTIONED AS THE BEST. Hey Mapy, here's just a small list off the top of my head of some of the guys Lou beat. Horn, perry, behrbaum, doran, snake burgland, manieri, starr, iondoli I'm still waiting for your list of guys that beat him? (cat got your tongue?)

Lou, when you were in your prime how many of these big mouths had the balls to get in your face or were they all hiding like the rats they are in a corner of Maple wishing they they could become part of your circle...

Who cares if you were six in 1966. You said Rags was only good. Well when you were still in your diapers, Rags won his first stop. Get it. You beat Hornreich when he was going downhill which started when in the late sixties. He just lost interest. And how much did you bet. At his best he always bet alot and $1g out of the box many times. Only Lemon who would have kicked your ass in his prime bet as much. You beat Doc at the end of his career. If you were 15 years older and bowling in the 60s, these greats would have sent you to school. The only idiots here who say you were the best when you were at your peak never saw these greats bowl at their best. You seem to have packed it in when Rudy was just getting started. If you had been around in the late eighties and nineties, he would have sent you to school also. I did ask around about you recently. Not too many remembered. THE GREATS ARE NEVER FORGOTTEN. Lemon has not bowled in over 20 years and we never forget how good he was. Only mortals get elected to the PBA HOF as he was.

It always amazes me how the "Best" always bowled in whatever era people on this board thrived in. There is no talent today...only in yesteryear. LOL! Just can't compare people from different times...plain and simple.

Sure you can. babe ruth was the best ever. Barry the liar bonds needed/needs steroids to surpass ruth's 714 home runs. if babe had/did steroids he'd have over 1,000 home runs. This fat slob was better than Bonds when he came to the ball park drunk many times and hit three when not sober.

I guess the babe could've been a good bowler... getting drunk and bowling....

Steriods or not .. that is a selective comparison. Again, the only way you would ever really know, is if the two played during the same era. Since they didn't face the same pitchers in the same era, one will never know. Say what you want...but it is still just speculation.
In bowling, people were the best of the era with the equipment available to them. You can't make assinine comparisons about rubber, plastic, resin, particle...blah blah...blah. Yesterday was then...today is now. People should only talk about bowlers that faced each other during their prime years...not across decades.

Sorry about the above. Anyway. I am sure that the people saying trash about Lou never saw him bowl.
Real action bowlers never talked this way. They needled each other but cursing and saying the other guy sucks etc is just kids with no language skills. Respect is never out of style in bowling or life in general.

This is the only board on this site you don't have to log onto, why don't the serious guys use the membership boards and ignore this one. As far as having to use your real name goes, no board reguires that, only a made up screen name is required.

i was feeling nostalgic after all my posting today so i called an old friend,Mark Roth today.we had a catch up conversation and he is doing well and looking forward to his upcoming schedule.growing up around 2 greats in the game johnny petraglia and mark roth was a great experience.but there were other greats that i honed my craft from also.remember i always felt there were 2 kinds of bowlers, naturals and the ones that worked very hard.i was the natural, because i could just do it . but here are a few greats that i bowled and learnd from. simo sr, joe s,tom cammillari, vinny lautado, the horn.and the one who always could bring me back when i quit or when my game sliiped a little joe (cbank) c. and most of all my father, and god for giving me that talent. other naturals i knew, snake, horn, joe s. then you had the ones that worked hard to get there game joe c, matter of fact if i had his love of the game and his desire and stamina i would have done 10 times better.that man could bowl from morning to night, he just loved the game and still does. i believe he has bowled more games than any man in the world he has been doing it over 30 yrs that i know him. he ,to me, is one of the more knowledgeable people on the game of bowling. and probobly could be a top instructer and teacher of the game.

Roth lives in Florida, owns himself or partners with some bowling establishment and quit the game. Gave up the senior tour after one year wacking those seniors because the money is not there. Pissed because the real tour pays much more than the seniors. any other questions? AND IF FAT MOUTH LOU WANTS TO BET ON 230 AT MAPLE BRING ALOT OF CASH AND LET US KNOW WHEN. YOUR BIG MOUTH HAS NEVER CEASED.

How much woukld the big mouth bet against Lou averaging 230 for lets say 3 or 5 games at Maple.
The big mouth would be hiding in the background which is his style, not say a word to Lou, not bet a dime, and just maybe he would get brave enough to volunteer to carry Lous ball and help him on with his bowling shoes...
