If that was so, that in itself would be sufficent, there plenty of stories there I'm sure, what do you have to contribute that you've done?

lou, i don't remember you. i started coming around the action in 1981 at 16 years old at bridge lanes. at that time snake, spallone and hornreich were coming there on sunday afternoons. i don't remember you. maybe you quit before then. i asked rudy revs about you, he said you were pretty good, but of course no one threw it as good as him. i'd like to bowl you, why don't you make a comback. it seems you had a pretty good record in the action, as i have. i don't lose too often. but of course if you bowl enough matches you are bound to lose some of them.

billy i wish i could last time i bowled i bowled dave grimaldi at new bowl rite shot 280 269 300 279 at him and quit 2 weeks later after the league that was 9 years ago. i bowled 1 time with a colleage shot 236 238 and had the 1st 9 threw the 10th shot flush and couldn't move my back is not what it used to be. you keep bowling. you said rudy said i was ok thats funny he only saw me bowl 2 times and both times i just came back after a couple year layoff. the last time he saw me was at col.pk i think i was bowling bob perry ended up 3 up after about 10 games. rudy was good i would not have turned down a match in my day with him but could not predict the outcome he throws a tank.

lou, you have to remember, rudy was the greatest action bowler of all time. when he says you were all right that is not a putdown. that is compared to him. i bowled many matches at rainbow and only lost 1 in about 2 years. i don't think i ever bowled a match at maple. it is not a carry contest only anymore. the reason the old guys can't compete anymore is because they are 1 dimensional. in todays game, the scores are higher but the game is harder. you need to play all over the lane with many different hand positions in order to be the best. take doc iandoli, one of the best. he could only do 1 thing. if he bowled today people would laugh at his game. if you avg 231 like you say you did then you would average 255 today? right? stay retired or get in touch with me if you want to bowl on a grind out. i have the perfect place to bowl. the old amityville falcaro's bowl on long island. i will bet anyone on a 200 game there.

GOOD ACTION HOUSE . I AVG 231 IN THE MID TO LATE 80'S THEN AGAIN IN 93-94 I DID NOT LIKE THE OVER UNDER WITH RESIN THEN SO I JUST USED URETHANE WHICH WAS TO ME LIKE THE 5 SERIES YELLOW DOT BLEEDER BUT MORE CONSISTANT. AND BILLY I TRULY AM NOT ONE YOU WOULD WANT TO BOWL I HAD A HEART BIGGER THAN MY STOMACH NOW, LOL. VERY FEW AND I MEEN VERY FEW MATCHES I WOULD NOT COME OUT AHEAD. AND RUDY WAS GREAT. BUT AS I SAID HE REALLY DID NOT KNOW ME. OR MY GAME. ASK SIMONELLI,ROTH, BERARDI, AND SOME REAL GREATS OF THE GAME. MY FORTE WAS TOURNEMENTS. THE LONGER THE BETTER BECOUSE I COULD MOVE FROM THE 1ST ARROW TO THE 5TH WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT. I LEARNED FROM THE GREATS OF THE DAY.PETRAGLIA, ROTH, ETC. I WAS A NATURAL BOWLER WITH GOOD LANE SENCE. I AM SURE YOU ARE A GOOD BOWLER BUT IF YOU WANT I WILL BOWL YOU BUT THAN YOU MUST PLAY 18 HOLES WITH ME . I ONLY GOLF NOW SO I MUST DECLINE YOUR OFFER TO BOWL ME. BUT THANKS ANYWAY. JUST ASKING ME TO BOWL IS A COMPLIMENT . THANKS AGAIN

They did not end because the house closed. You get your facts straight. First time they bowled billy called last game and the other two times he quit even. I was there i know. How does he expect to beat Lou when he can't even beat a kid at his favorite house.

|
Post by I WAS THERE on Jun 24, 2003 15:27:44 GMT -5
try again, you should try again. i was there both times they bowled. the first time they bowled the kid was up 4 games and couldn't close the deal. billy got even and wanted to bowl 1 more game for double the bet but alex was shooting 130's and quit. the place was closing and the pair kept dropping pins. the second time they bowled the place was closing at 10:00 and at 11:00 billy was up one and lost the last game and quit. they couldn't bowl many more games anyway. by the way, lou is no legend. billy is cause he will bowl anyone, anywhere and bet his own money and win a majority of time. you are a dirtbag.

I DO NOT KNOW EITHER OF THESE GUYS AND I HAVE BEEN AROUND ACTION SINCE 1970 I HAVE SEEN THEM ALL HORNREICH LEMON SCHLAGAL BERARDI RUDY SNAKE CAPASSO KITTER ALL OF THEM THEY WERE ALL GREAT BOWLERS GREAT!!! BILLY RED I AM SURE YOU ARE GOOD BUT YOU YOURSELF SAID YOU BEAT HORN AND SNAKE AND WHOEVER ELSE BUT YOU ALSO SAID THEY WERE NOT IN THERE PRIME AND THEY WEREN'T, ONE THING FOR SURE IS IF LOU WAS BOWLING STILL HE WOULD BEAT YOU BADLY. AND HERES WHY, HE COULD REV THE HELL OUT OF THE BALL WITH PERFECT STROKE AND BALANCE AND COULD ALSO SPLIT BOARDS. WITH THIS NEW EQUIPTMENT HE WOULD EAT UP THE CONDITIONS .AFTER THE FIRST GAME YOU WOULD BE IN AWE OF HIM. I LIVE IN JERSEY NOW AND BOWLED IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS HIM ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO HE SHOT THE LIGHTS OUT CONSISTANTLY. AND HE WASN'T 1/2 THE BOWLER HE WAS AT 18 THEN.I WAS ALSO AT THE GRIMALDI MATCH AT BOWLRITE. THE MAN STUFFED 48 SHOTS FLUSH. GRIMALDI WAS IN A DAZE AFTER THE MATCH AND SO WERE HIS BACKERS. ONE THING FOR SURE IS HE QUIT A WINNER. BILLY BOWL WHO YOU WANT BUT BOWL TODAYS STARS NOT YESTERDAYS WHY BOWL LOU OR HORN OR SNAKE NOW THERE DAYS HAVE GONE . JUST TO SAY YOU BEAT THEM I WOULD LAUGH AT YOU . AND SO WOULD ANYONE ELSE WHO NEW THE SPORT.

i saw the cheese beat rudy 4 straight left handed at a lacquer house in queens ,elmhurst i think but they were only playing for stuck waiting for the drug money action to get there . they had wiped the right side out. 1st ball rudy threw from left to right he plucked the 10, moved about 25 right and hummed up 5 and left a stone 5-8. he could have bowled me on lacquer all he wanted in the early 60s. or how about the time at country when he bowled tavie and shot 130 130 130 lost 3 waited 20 minutes and bowled on the same stripped pair and shot 279 279 279 same ball same shot

there was only black rubber and mineralite balls and nobody had weight holes , not even iggy ,but we did including myself, add a little mercury in the finger holes. one night the mercury broke on a ball thrown by louie spadaro at sid gordons on 13 and 14 and the streak went from about 18 feet to the pit and the ball shot a bee line to the left gutter at 45. and so did the merq he ran out of the match quick and disappeared

alright now i got to tell you, i would not have bowled rudy on todays condition , like i didnt bowl lemon when he asked me to bowl in colony in the early 60s rudy i backed in miami classic lanes, against a bowler rudy threw 45 in a row . front nine on 5 different pair , never finished the game , he said he had 4 300s that week any way

i will bowl alex anywhere, he is absolutely horrible. he came to whitestone to bowl me and quit in practice. he came to bowlerland to bowl me and i killed him. i took him to a real bowling alley and watched him bowl 150's all day long. he even left a 5-7-10. don't even put me in the same class as alex. my winning percentage is like 95% and his is 12%. it is probably that complete loser dave botchavvvvsky writing all this without signing his name. dave i have some windows for you to wash you loser.

to i wasn't there but, can i help it if i drilled those guys when they weren't in their prime. they were the competetion and i beat them. they asked me to bowl. i would certainly not be in awe of lou capasso. i am sure he bowled those numbers on the wall of china. i also bowled back to back 300's in a match, so i am not impressed. plus, he probably had half the talent of rudy revs, so lets stop the crap. big deal, lou averaged 231 , i averaged 239. bring him out of retirement and i'll put him back in.

if i bowled 150's all day long then you must have bowled 130s cause you never had a chance to beat me.

what does it all mean unless you make a living at it , action that is. there were and still are guys who never worked because of the action, regardless of the action be it bowling ,cards ,football, dice. the track, the tour(real job) and there were and are those who worked a regular job, like a transit worker, and made double at the lanes, than at their job. alex, dont let him, bs you, experience is a big factor in the game, and although he has a big edge in that department, your glory days are in front of you, be it action or the tour. both of you know who i am, and what i say is pretty close to the truth

billy, 239 average , where? couldnt be woodhaven or whitestone. but you would have a good chance against louie or alex in those houses , bridge as well. i guess you dont remember when the cheese beat the whale for 5 grand in colonial lanes in staten island an impossible feat to say the least but he did . next day ira showed me the sheet, i think he still has it to this day. next day in tourney on long island the whale wins back the 5 gs in a tournament outshooting the cheese by more than 75 a game 4 games, (1040) to 740

forgot to mention, i told ira i would go partners with him if he spotted the cheese 50 a game, but the cheese refused the bet. your probably thinking, who is the cheese , thats his maple name, you know him as the biggest and fattest mouth in bklyn , snakes old fat partner begins with T

WHY ARE THERE MORE 300 GAMES A DAY THAN THERE WERE IN A YEAR. WHY DID HOGAN AVG 250 YARDS A DRIVE AND NOW THEY HIT 375 YARD PAR 4'S WITH THERE DRIVER FIGURE IT OUT YET YOU SIMPLETON TECHNOLOGY YOU WOULDNT EVEN STEP IN THE LANES IF I WAS BOWLING IN THE 70'S OR EARLY 80'S. lou, you moron i did beat snake in the 80's and i would have beat you in any era. if you think you were so good, come back and i bet i hit a dime down the lane more often then you do if that shows who is a better bowler. i guess you think mark roth is a better bowler than walter ray because he won when you were bowling instead of todays game. walter throws it dead straight and he would beat your brains in. you don't have to hook it to be good. in another post you said you beat tony a at bridge in a three way. today you said it was a four way. make up your mind. i spoke to tony a about you and he said he don't remember you at all. a real legend never gets forgotten. tony also said he would never bowl a 3 or 4 way match against anyone. always heads up. he also said he would come out of retirement to bowl you even though he doesn't remember you. you are like the old golfers comlaining about today's stars. you think tiger wouldn't be as good as jack with the old clubs? i was great with rubber, i was great with urethane and i am great with resin. live with it, i am great and your not. moron i when averaged 205 with rubber i was high average in every league, when i averaged 220 with urethane i was high average, now i average 230+ and high average. whats the difference what the scores are, i am still high average and always will be. thank you for admitting that i am better than you. try telling us about some of your losses. all i hear about from you are your so called wins. i hear from other people you lost many matches. i'm ready when you are? or are you afraid? this is my last post in responding to has beens or never was' like you. either bowl me or shut up.

GOOD NO MORE ABOUT A NOBODY LIKE YOU. SOMEBODY POSTED THAT ALL THE GREAT BOWLERS ARE ON TOUT. I AGREE STOP THE BS AND LETS SEE WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF AND ABOUT WRW HE IS THE BEST NO DOUBT. EVEN ON THE ERA OF CHANGE 1978 TO 1980 WITH ALL THE ASTRO LANE AND MURALANE FINISHES I THINK WRW WOULD HAVE STILL WON MANY A CHAMPIONSHIPS. BUT YOU WOULDNT EVEN MAKE THE PTQ'S IN THE DAY. I WAS A TOURING 1 MEMBER FOR 3 YEARS AND I WON A PBA EVENT YOU LITTLE S#$^ SO BOWL THE BIG BOYS NOT WANNA BE'S OR PAST CHAMPIONS . AS I SAID BEFORE I QUIT THIS GAME IN 1982 AND SINCE HAVE BOWLED A TOTAL OF 4 YEARS SINCE LAST BOWLING IN 1994. YOU TALK OF RUDY AS A GOD OR SOMETHING SNAKE WHOOPED HIM AT I THINK WOODHAVEN BADLY ONE NIGHT. I WAS THERE RUDY COULD NOT FIND THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HEAD PIN SNAKE DOWN AND IN HIM ALL MATCH. RUDY WAS GREAT. HORNREICH WAS THE BEST END OF STORY. EVEN WHEN I BEAT RICHIE HE WAS OVER THE HILL. BUT MADE A GOOD COMEBACK. AND PLEASE NAME THE PEOPLE WHO BEAT ME IN A MATCH I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THE NAMES. IT WOULD BE A VERY SHORT LIST. SEE YA
