I don't know any of you. I'm a young guy that Old Joe Cirillo helped pull of the street. My father was pin chaser at Cross County Lanes. It's Paradise Lanes now, and Joe has his shop there. Joe is there a long with Lloyd Edmondson, Jon-O Haynes, and John Kourabas. There have to be a few other old guys that I don't know what there past is all about. But it makes me smile that some of my old time friends and mentors are still talked about. Anyway Joe is gonna be 80 and he's averaging 211. Don't care if it is a house shot, the man is amazing.

I REMEMBER JOE FROM HIS BOWLING STORE IN THE EAST BRONX. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO HANK BURROUGHS. HE WAS PRO BOLWER OUT OF STYTOPS LANES IN ELMSFORD, NEW YORK. HE MARRIED A GIRL CALLED 'COOKIE" MORALES BACK NI THE EARLY 1960'S.

The last time I saw Hank was at Hi-Tor Lanes in W. Haverstraw NY in the late 70's. He was a good friend of the manager at that time (Bill...somebody). He was turning into a derelict....Whatever happened to him, I don't know.

MANY THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ON HANK BURROUGHS. IT'S A SHAME, BECAUSE HE WAS A TERRIFIC BOWLER AND A GREAT GUY! SORRY TO HEAR.
I'VE JUST GOTTEN BACK INTO BOWLING AFTER A 20-YEAR HIATUS. I CAN STILL ROLL A MEAN STRIKE, ALTHOUGH I HAVE DROPPED 2 POUNDS ON THE BOWLING BALL. WISH ME LUCK IN THE COMING SEASON!

Wow I remember Joe. He had a shop on White Plains Road, the Cirillo Bros Pro shop. I used to hang out at Gun Post Lanes, many, many moons ago. Averaging 211. Fabulous!!
