I could believe it, because he would bet on anything. A degenerate gambler but a great bowler on and off the tour. He's a pba HOF with only six titles but probably got in because he was the first in 1971 to win two majors in one year, us open and pba national. Anthony and then WRW this year are the only other two I believe with two majors in one year. Lemon, in the sixties when $100 was a nice bet, had no trouble betting 1g and winning like it was nothing.

True action story: Rudy Kazimakas without a doubt one of the all time great action bowlers, but in the late 1980's a gentleman by the name of Keith Ehman from Canford,N.J took Rudy to the cleaners. Rudy drove down to N.J to bowl action at Clark Lanes. After bowling several action games with different bowlers,Rudy decides to call out Keith Ehman. Keith accepted the challenge and destroyed Rudy in a 3 game match set. The first game keith rolled a 299 game. Rudy says to the crowd "how much better can he bowl. With that said, Keith goes and shoots a 300 game ! The third game keith starts of with the first 7 in a row and Rudy walks off the lanes. A true story. Many top bowlers were there to see this great match

In the late 80's you didn't take Rudy Kasimakis to the cleaners by beating him 3 games in any one house. Rudy was deadly in the 80's, definately the best action bowler of his time... So with all respect due to those bowlers that may have beaten him on a walled up shot in any jersey house, 299 300 and think this is a great accomplishment, it's not! Anyone can carry on A wall on a given day better than Rudy did if they had luck on their side, no big deal but Everyone is entitled to their 15 minutes of Fame they say right?
It's a feat though, when you beat any good action bowler on grind out conditions, that is "Huge" Good Bowlers, Great Action Bowlers win matches on Grinders.
To me, no one takes anyone to the cleaners on easy shots. 3 games of action to Rudy is nothing, especially back then, 3 games was just a warm up session, those of us who know Rudy Kasimakis and have followed his career and truly know his game and were present when he was bowling when action was action, know that many of the games Rudy lost were only lost because of carry, that in itself means nothing.
On grinders he was and is tough! Grinders like The Landgraf shot, gutter to gutter oil and 60 feet of triple oil, Those wins meant everything and they are worth bragging about for sure, those where matches were won by "Great Action Bowlers" with a score of 180, now that done on a consistant basis is definately something to brag about with all due respect to those who have gotten lucky on walls.
I so love those grind out Matches!

Very well put, I myself always loved watching great matches on hard tough conditions, 95% strikes is really a bore to watch.
I really enjoyed the action days when a consistant 210 to 230 meant something.
