Does anyone have any good stories of creative or fun matches, for example: I bowled Lou Lemone using Broomsticks, took maybe 140-150 to win, 1 or 2 fingers with 10-12 Lbs, Bowled for decent money 100-200 a game, not bad for late 70's early eighties. Heard he past. Sorry to hear that. Used to bowl low game matches. had to hit at least 1 pin with every ball (Low score would be 20). Bowled regular matches too. I musta been a real degenerate! ;D

Louie LAMONE died from too many cigarettes. The horn was good with the broom. He was 170. one night at fiesta, he played against Charlie Tuna dead many many years from drugs. Charlie was 140-150 with the broom. Naturally, the horn kicked ass. Jamesie was a 150 with the broom. This happened early seventies. Back in the sixties Stoop was better than a deuce with a 10lb ball.

The best one step bowler I ever saw was the owner of this site (Butch) back in the sixties he never lost a one step match, believe it or not he averaged better than 210, was deadly accurate that way.
I remember the night he clocked the Cane in a one step match who was also really good a that game.
He also beat Mac and Stoop in one step matches without so much as looseing one game.
In 1975 his come back year he also beat the Beeper in one step and regular bowling.
He also beat Bill daly, regular bowling on a Thursday night at Kuskies 4 - 0 - 1, took him for about 10gs that night, first game was for 2 grand. (And that was 1975 money) what would that be equavelent to in todays money?

how about the old kick the ball down the lane match,or the broomstick match, or heres a new one joe c and snake bowl cross hits are 7 out and any time you get less then eight on the 1st ball it is 7 out. sounds like fun. also years ago snake, spallone myself longo, albanese, and a few other guys would bowl wrong hand pots. now that was fun, except spallone was real good lefty too. i could bowl ok sometimes, but to watch some of those guys was hilarious.

Ira Katz was never 180 with the broom. the horn was 170 and that was great. The only reason Richie bowled with the broom because he really did not give a shit about the game anymore. This happened at Fiesta. Iggy Russo was the best at low score. He shot in the 20s when he was trying. He was probably the best also at odd pin. This guy could take out the seven or ten blindfolded.
