I don't know anything about the seventies or later, but up until the early to middle sixties I bowled with and against all the best action bowlers in the Bronx. In my opinion the five best action bowlers from that era (in the Bronx and vicinity) were Mike Lemongello, Ralph Engan, Frank Medici, Harry the Horse, and for one year only, Dewey Blair.

Dear Mr. Web Master Administrator:
Your web site never functions correctly. I and at least two other guys I know have tried to register to become members. It keeps on giving us "Error" the "error" is that our twice entered email addresses and/or our twice entered passwords don't match. But they DO match. You can even see the email addresses right on the screen exactly the same as each other. If you would like some new members, you really ought to fix the damm thing once and for all. Apparently this is nothing new, and still hasn't been fixed.

Sorry for the foul ups, I contacted the people who run this board and was told it's fixed. Try again and if need be register again under a different username which you can change in your profile once your in.
Thanks for letting me know this problem was still with us. Zoo

Thanks Zoo - it worked. What a great site. I see a lot of names that I remember from way back when. Hey Lefty Mike, do you remember "The Rock" from Tremont Lanes? I agree with your list of top Bronx action bowlers. I'm glad to see that you remember Frankie Medici - a lot of guys who came later don't know his name, but I consider him to be as good as Lemon, he just didn't take it as seriously. But man, he was mighty tough. The other toughest one to beat was Harry the Horse, especially down at Tremont. When he and Frankie partnered up, they could almost never get a match, because nobody wanted any part of them. I know you remember Lou Harris, another monster down at Tremont. Those three would match up with any threesome in the city.

Hey Rock. It's been a long time. Of course I remember you. Do you remember when we bowled a three game set down Tremont - total wood for a few hundred? I shot a seven something and lost total wood by three pins. That one really hurt. I'm still in the Bronx, and I see you are too. I'll send you a private message, and maybe we can get together.
