There are no great action bowlers of the new century, with the lane conditions, the new and improved balls and the inflated egos, these guys step on the lanes practice for 45 min. change balls 17 times, then say NO MATCH because they can't throw 40 in a row!!!

What a shame, everyone doesn't know what their missing from the days of real action between hundreds of real action bowlers.
Some of the best action I've seen was between the B action shooters, the 190 guys, great great action, and plenty of it.
190s in the sixties was very respectable.

I have watched and been in many matches. I have watched alot of great shooters and one thing is certain, anyone can be beat!! The greats of the past a great days and bad. Does not matter if its Kidder etc. But playing today seems to have great variance in conditons from bumper bowling to very difficult shots. Being a lane man I know that with todays great lane machines you can set up anything. This brings up the question of are you tough on a no shot (like the Petersen) or great on a wide open house shot. The action bwler who seems to have it all is Norm Duke.

can't believe none of you have heard of a kid named Alex Cavagnaro from long island, been bowling anyone, anywhere for the last 10 years and isnt afraid to bet. Joe Scianna might be the only one better, if he even is anymore. Alex's name deserves to be on your hall of fame list if you are including modern day bowlers, kid was born in the wrong era.
