Falcaros in Lawrence L.I. should be on the list .During the 70s every Saturday afternoon lots of action took place.
Also Mid Island Bowl in Hicksville had some action on monday nights after the scratch league This was also in the seventies.
this league moved to Deer Park and probably jump started the well known deer park action that followed.

Meadowbrook Lanes in Fort Worth, TX, was where the action was in Texas from the late 1960's til the late 1970's. Gary Dickinson was unbeatable there. Norm Duke bowled action there as a kid. Bob McGregor learned to play the gutter shot there. The owner (Carmichael??) was a card player and would bet on almost anything. It was a split house (16 lanes on each side). The 'red' side played out and the 'blue' side played in the track. A match could be found at any time. Of course it might be against Dickinson, but it could be found.

Welcome texastwin, sounds like you might have a lot of stories about Texas action. It would be a pleasure to hear some of them from you. I would like to add them to the archives.
The best to you Zoo
