My coming of age was around 1977-1984 around West Nyack, NY. Houses: King Pin, Pearl River, The Hub, Hi-Tor, Montvale. Guys I knew in the action scene (these are people I actually knew, not just knew their names): Angelo Ciavarella, Mike Garrison (Beef), Sam and Robbie Verano, Harry Crayton, Doug McFarlane, Paul Paciello, Sonny Pavelchak, Larry Granto jr., Robert Blohm, Wobbles, Laura DuLisse, Jim Huebner. Leagues that attracted action: King Pin Open Doubles (summer 1980+), Traveling Classic. Harry Crayton always attracted the most action. Big gambler in town. Angelo was always the most talented of guys my age -- a lefty and proponent of the Crank, Swing, Crush school via yellow Angle. Lost touch. Anyone know wassup with him?
Any stories?

Ah King Pin...now the Palisades Mall. I bowled in the the Saturday morning Jr. league from 1980-1984. Sonny was in that league. The Hanley brothers, Stan Dobrinski, Steve Roth?....etc etc

Create area,
I run the bracket program in a league in Homefield on Monday nights. Sonny Pavalchak bowls here. I just called him over to read this thread. What a grin! Just wanted you to know he is doing well.

Sue, tell Sonny that while I am not quite the bowler he is, I was always better at hoops than him! LOL!
