The biggest steal was when Jeff Kidder and Ira Katz used low averages to win the Hoinke doubles. Thier names are on the plaque on the wall at Western Bowl in Cinncinati. They checked to find if they had been misrepresented but everything was legal and they recieved thier winnings. The next was Max Thomas when he established an average with his left hand after injuring his right. He took the Liliac Tournament averaging in the high 200's with a 165 average like Kidder an Katz. After extensive investigation everything turned out legal. Jeff Adams was a lefty who won the scratch Hoinke and was an action shooter who bowled matches of $1000 a game an more. The reason was he was like Trump (very rich). He was living in an estate in Connecticut. He was always cool because 1000 to him was like a dollar to his competion. He seemed always to be shooting a 300 under presure. He was from Montreal where his manufacturing bussiness was. A very tough action shooter. I ask someone in a tournament who was the best bowler in Montreal and he said Jeff Adams of course.
