I remember in the 70's at Holiday Lanes in Peabody, Mass. Ira came with a heavey set backer to challenge anyone wantng to bowl. This house had a big lefty shot and although we bowled alot of Pot games it was more of a catch a game between the lefty domination. Somehow some of us made money by shrewed playing. But to take on a lefty for big money was not wise. So we looked for a suitable lefty. George LeCain was tops in that house but he was back from the PBA tour with a hand injury. Paul Moser, US Open champion, was not an action shooter, so we suggested that he go to another house such as Holiday Medford, Town Line in Malden, Allstar Lanes in Lynn, or Boston Bowl. He did not want to so they were having a tournament (Northshore Singles) and he decided to bowl. Ira did well as was expected until he hit the semi's where he bowled a young kid named Paul Parinos (I missspelled his name). Paul threw a very strong rolling right handed ball. He destroyed Ira. Ira was angry and headed back to Long Island. Paul bowling career went feel apart and he disappeared like so many other talented bowlers.
