3/1/09 MANITOWOC — Two more 300 games and another 700 series in a women's league highlighted the bowling scores turned in this week.
Bob Leavy and Chris Raymakers hit the 300 game milestone. Leavy notched his perfect game in the opener of a 790 series in the Goodfellowship League at Meadow Lanes West, while Raymakers tallied his 300 in the first game of a 718 set in the Saturday Night Football Couples League at Meadow Lanes North.
A total of 21 different bowlers have now rolled 300 games this season, while there has been a total of 25 perfect games.
Becky Belinske set the pace for the women, rolling a 736 series in the Monday Specials League at Meadow Lanes West. She had games of 289 — the high for a woman this season — 226 and 221 en route to her total.
It was her second 700 series of the season — she had a 725 set in the Saturday Football Couples League at Meadow Lanes North earlier this year — and the fourth rolled by a woman this season.

My bowling scores today were 162+215+200 for a 577 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1 had 4 open frames my first game 2 open frames my second game and 2 open frames my 3rd game. This was a really bad day for me. I had lots of trouble carrying the pins, but I had a bad start so I must have been forcing my shot and trying to hard. In addition, I had 2, 8 - 10 splits and 2 7 - 10s in the pocket. I guess my number was up today after having the 300 and 823 last week. I do think the weather change affected the pin carry today, but that is no excuse for missing that many spares. I was not the only one having trouble with carry today.

My bowling scores today were 216+279+246 for a 741 series this was my first team event score in our local city tournament. I had 0 open frames today. I feel much better after having a bad outing last Friday. I used a hammer hawg I love that ball I wish hammer still made it, but I think you can still get it online. I have 2 of them and have won so much money with it. Well singles and doubles come Friday night then I have another team next Saturday

My bowling scores today were 203+217+213 for a 633 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1 had 3 open frames today one each game, I kept leaving 10 pins it got frustrating. After leaving so many I only missed 2 one in the 1st game and one in the 2nd game then I chopped the 2 off the 5 in the 3rd game. The conditions in the league have been kind of tricky the last couple weeks I used my ebonite magic again I am averaging about 226 with this bowling ball. I have city tournament over the week end I hope to do better.

My bowling scores today were 259+226+215 for a 700 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1 had 2 open frames today one in the 2nd game and one in the 3rd. I missed a 10 in the 2nd game and rolled a bad shot for a 4, 6, 7 split in the 3rd. I went back to the twisted fury solid because I had carry and reaction troubles with my other equipment. I did have a 300 with my magic in a different center this past week though. In addition, I had a 2123 all events score in the city tournament. I used my hammer hawg and an ebonite infinite one in that event.

They don’t call them pros for nothing. Lorain County’s Professional Bowling Association representatives John Shreve Sr. and Chris Loschetter took advantage of their time off from the national tour to get in a little “practice” at area lanes last week — and each came up with an 800 series

My bowling scores today were 224+245+269 for a 738 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1 only had 1 open frame today in the 1st game. I went back to my ebonite magic because I had a good reaction with it in our pre bowl practice. I did use a 2000 abralon pad on the magic I think the surface adjustment helped me. Well we have our monthly scratch tournament Sunday.

My bowling scores today were 188+223+223 for a 644 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1 had 4 open frames today 2 in the 1st game 1 in the 2nd game and 1 in the 3rd I went back to my twisted fury solid today because I did not have a good had a good reaction with my other balls, but I have a cold so I don’t know if it was that or me. I only have one week left then I bowl in a summer sport shot league for 8 week. I usually aver about 195 on the sport stuff, but this stuff is very tuff. I did use a 1000 abralon pad on the twisted fury solid. In addition, I got 6 place last Sunday in our monthly scratch tournament with a 1244 for 5 games and won 100 bucks.

My bowling scores today were 238+256+182 for a 676 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1 had 3 open frames today 2 in the 1st game and 1 in the 3rd I went back to my ebonite magic today because I had a good reaction with it in practice. In addition, I substituted that evening in another center and had games of 265+237+179=681 I lost reaction the last game with 3 opens a 8+10 and a 4+9 with a missed 10 pin I had a good reaction until then I tried the twisted fury and worked well this ball sets up and holds pocket well I used 1000 abralon on the surface. This was my last nigh of regular bowling now I will be starting a sport league in the summer

My bowling scores this week were 262+300+300 for an 862 series in my Friday morning bowling league. 1t was our fun day so we bowled a 9 pin I only had 1 ball out of the pocket it was the big 4 in the first game I got 5th place because I had to bowl scratch. In addition, I used my virtual gravity from storm this time. Well that is it for my bowling this season, but I am bowling in our monthly scratch tournament and a sport league and then some practice, but I will be cutting back to have a break from it. I will do some fishing and golfing this summer for something different to do.

Willard 46 is full of crap. 862 the last week and 250 average over the past 4 weeks. Either he is the greatest or his ball has a magnet to the pocket. He should be challenging the world in his house. Don't believe any of those scores. A-ROID

These are real scores and the 862 was a 9 pin in addition, I did this today. My bowling scores today were 256+212+208+248+182 for an 1106 series in our local monthly scratch tournament I averaged 221 for the 5 game sweeper and only had 4 open frames. I missed 2,10 pins and had a 7 + 10 and a 8 + 10 in the pocket. Even though I averaged 221 and never cashed this month I did get money back for a high game. I just had trouble getting lined up today and was debating whether I should bowl today as my mental game was not there. I was going out with the ball to much there was a little to much wiggle if I crossed the oil going out and could not line up with a more direct shot. I did get 6th place last month and usually cash in this event.

Last night we started our Summer Sport Doubles League it is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and is 4 games. Well last night we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA chameleon pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 167+189+200+213 for a 771 series. This shot was tough at first as the lane conditions hooked a lot more than I expected, but after I moved far enough left and changed balls I had a pretty good shot. I used my Virtual Gravity my first 3 games and then changed to my Ebonite Magic the last game. This is a lot different than the house patterns I have been bowling on. They say next week we will be bowling on the scorpion pattern. I bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.

2nd Week of Summer Sport Doubles League
Last night in our Summer Sport Doubles League it is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and is 4 games. Well last night was our 2nd week we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA Scorpion pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 162+236+224+192 for an 814 series. This shot was not as tough as last week; the pattern is suppose to be 2 ft longer and I played the lanes about the same area first as last week and used my ebonite magic. This ball seems to work good on these conditions for me I did adjust the surface with 2000 abralon. I bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.

4th Week of Summer Sport Doubles League
Last night in our Summer Sport Doubles League which is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and we bowl 4 games. Well last night was our 4th week we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA Viper pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 182+245+193+235 for an 855 series. This shot was not bad really, but I had to make sure that I did not swing the ball outside to far as it would hang. In addition, I had to roll it straighter and harder up the track area there really was not much hold; this was suppose to be a 38 ft pattern. I used my Storm Virtual Gravity this week. I did adjust the surface of the ball with 2000 abralon. In addition, I try to bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.

5th Week of Summer Sport Doubles League
This week in our Summer Sport Doubles League which is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and we bowl 4 games. Well last night was our 5th week we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA Shark pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 192+215+193+205 for an 805 series. This shot was a little tougher than the others, but I had to make sure that I kept the ball insider and did not swing the ball outside to far as it would hang. This was supposed to be a 44 ft pattern. I used my Storm Virtual Gravity this week. I did adjust the surface of the ball with 2000 abralon. In addition, I try to bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.
