I remember back in the 50's & 60's, Phil Espo was one of the greats at Falcaros. Always in action, never turned down a match. Bowled head up against Joe The Frog, both would be betting 300-500 a game and that was a lot then. Gibby bowled Espo a lot I recall. I was 15 at the time. I recall Yatzy. I remember I loved to score the matches and hold the center. I also remember a great match on 47 & 48 where Ira Katz was bowling Phil Espo and Ira needed a mark to win, he left the double pinochle -and then made it!! An impossible shot. Unbelievable. Was anybody there at Falcaro's who remembers those days?? Those were great times.
