Tuesday I drilled another ball, this one has an evener roll pattern and hits like a truck. but still left some 10 pins. I must say that both balls are identical in fit!!I can switch balls at a drop of a dime without missing a beat! Tom Laskow is an awesome ball driller. I have had balls drilled by some of the best in the business, and I am also an experienced ball driller, but to be able to duplicate like he does is a very rare thing. If anyone has a problem with a thumb or consistancy going from ball to ball you have to see Lasher. anyway My swing is feeling more comfortable and my direction is good. with a few more days on the lanes I should be ready to bowl some tourneys. Hopefully I will have some stamina and be able to bowl a 6 or 8 game block w/out to much trouble towards the end. Once again to Tom Laskow thanks !!!!

i was there as you remember, funny about that kid showing up after 5 weeks wanting to bowl me for BIG money and he only had 60 bucks . i finally carried a little it seammed like the light hit is a better carry spot for me. i bowled well in the pots 268,234,231,265,277. for me it was good for week 7 on ''THE ROAD BACK'' LOL

Yeah....that was too funny!!!! I thought he came with a couple of hundred on him. We bowled for hours after you left. I basically bowled "free" all day, but I was down over 3 bills at one point. That is until I banged out 4 consecutive wins.

not to sound arrogant but todays conditions make it very easy to score i will bowl them right now . if they think they are real good we will bowl with plastic equiptment not these resins becouse after 7 weeks i am avg about 225. using plastic at least makes it a bit more skillful, mind you not alot becouse of the shot they put out but a little tougher. AND BILLY RED IS JUST A LOADMOUTH WHO LIKES TO PUT PEOPLE DOWN. would not waste mytime or give him the satisfaction. not worth it becouse he is the type who loses and still gives no respect. i am not ready yet to my standards but on these conditions with these balls i will not back out of any match its just a carry contest. Merry Chrustmas to all and there families and may God bless.

Lou, how is your back holding up, I hope good.
Don't push it but when your ready let them see what a real action bowler can do, make them come to you under neutral fair conditions to all involved.

billy there are no fair conditions here it is a very easy shot. ask create area he is a very good bowler and can attest to the fact the conditions are just about cant miss. My back is ok i think its the front thats the problem, lol i will be bowling some tourny's soon hopefully regaining some old form. remember i at least at one time could bowl. i am still feeling my way. i have bowled 6 matches so far winning the first winning the 2nd tieing the third losing 1 down the 5th and winning the 6th. sunday i won 3 out of 5 pot games with 6 bowlers avg over 270 the 3 winning games.268,275,278. well my old compadra's have a happy new year'.

today was a good day i bowled 248 230 269 (WITH A G BALL IN THE 12 LOL) THAN IN THE 6 MAN SEMI'S SHOT 234 BARELY BEATING CREATE AREA. than i bowled 266 ,278 in the finals to win . Itd starting to fall into place even though my accuracy is not what it once was i can be within 3 bds of my target and thats nore than enough in this day and age. Happy new years to all

Congrats Lou. I shot 753 scratch to make it to the semis. Two swishing pile up 10 pins (I am a lefty) annoyed the heck out of me in the semis..especially the one in the eighth. If I carried that one, my destiny would have been in my own hands, but Lou locked me out with his clutch double in the tenth. Went on to bowl pots and won two of 6 or 7. Also won a high game pot in "Beat the House", so all in all not a horrible day. Basically went home with an extra 20 in my pocket.

well I bowled at carolier s 10 game marathon and did not bowl real well it was very tiring. the best part was seeing people i had not seen in 10 to 20 years or more!Congradulations are in order to the OLD bowlers (just kidding) Bzz Goodman and J ohn Gualtieri who (as always) bowled well . Buzz you were amazing those last few games keeping the ball straight . especially crossing with Chris Viale who could circle the lane. He has amazing talent. the major lesson for the day was to learn how to get it long enough to play inside somewhat consistantly.I spoke with a few people asking about plastic ,if it would be possible to have played outside using it and for the most part everyone said the oil was to long to get a good reaction. but if anyone has an opinion please post here becouse I still believe thet I may not have shot 150 160 on the high side if i could have been straighter down the lane . so please post and give me your opinion. anyway the final outcome was i won some brackets and finished 2nd in a few more so i only lost a few bucks. My advise to carolier lanes is call cirle lanes and find out what kind of oil they use becouse they do not break down as quickly. Happy New year to all and great bowling to all the cashers . To Tom Semiz GREAT JOB the tournament was very well run and alot of fun. to Johnny Petraglia sr. Steve Jones. Willie Willis, John Gualtieri,Buzz Goodman and every one else I saw who I havent seen in many many years it was great seeing you all and age has taken nothing away from your games. HAPPY NEW YEARS AND SEE YOU ALL AGAIN REAL SOON.

Sounds like a great day even without coming out on top, that's what bowling is all about and what most guys under 35 don't realize or appreciate.
The best to you Lou, I hope you continue having fun for many more years.

Carolier was certainly rough for most lefties on New Year's day. That being said, I was beyond pathetic. Averaging just over 180 on the day. I didn't feel too bad when I saw the lefties bowling right next to me "enjoying" the same tough shot. Although, I don't throw half the ball as some of the other lefties, they seemed to struggle as well. I had the opportunity to bowl with John Petraglia Jr. (also a lefty), he joined me in the minus column, and he was a much better bowler than me. For the majority of the 10 game marathon, there was a complete out of bounds if any lefty swung the ball, while righties could swing the piss out of the ball. Not complaining...just the facts. I know we often enjoy much easier conditions than righties, but it wasn't the case for this tournament. I only spoke with 5 lefties, but they all averaged below a deuce on the day. I am sure some superstar lefties did better, but I ain't one of them. It was my first year, and despite my futility I will most likely "donate" my money again next year. Once a year, it is good to find out how much I really suck! LOL!

Hello All !! I am sorry for the long time between posts. But i have had 2 unfortunate deaths in the family and have not bowled much the past 3 weeks, but did find the time to bowl today.NOT A GOOD DAY, even though i shot 246, 247,211 i did not feel comfortable. I believe its time to change i cannot THROW the ball i must learn to stroke it more becouse i cannot overpower the lanes anymore.consistancy and equiptment is the answer. i will always heve enough revs even now , i must learn not to force my swing, by that i mean no help in my back or downswing it just doesn t work, plus i can actually see a better and more consistant pattern when i slow it down a bit. i am hoping to bowl some regionals this year but still not ready yet. but BIG LOU IS BACK ! be well and please write back with any upcoming marathons and tourneys in the tri state area .

hey mr area good bowling. i will be there sunday, i missed the last 2 weeks and wanted to be there. i did practice 1 time but my timing was off. if you remember me telling you i would reach a point where everything would leave me and i am now at that point. hopefully it will be a short term loss and with a little practice and back to basic approach i will be back in a week or so. see you all sunday

today i went to roosevelt lanes to watch my old friend steve s daughter bowl a college tourney. starting to feel old i had already quit bowling before she was born. but man she could bowl. she was a pure bowler with a powerful ball and great timing and stroke. i also bowled a few games on thewall of china there they were tight and i gor to ply outside. my favorite shot and i threw a ton of strikes, but again was very uncomfortable at the line. i will bowl tomorrow at circle and hope the timing starts to come back, without it i am as inconsistant as can be ,ball speed release , everything is off when my timing is off, wekk i will post results tomorrow. i also spoke to a rep at Storm bowling and he gave me a rundown on this new equiptment and how to drill it. maybe it will help sure cant hurt !!!!!

Lou, of course your timing is off...when you don't bowl all the time. You know it is just a matter of bowling more frequently. See you at "Fantasy Bowling Land" later. ;D

this sunday i bowled better again timing felt good. unfortunatly i shot 184 246 256 in the tourny and did not make the cut which was 754. pot games i bowled good no game under 230 but as we know u need 260 or better and i finished 2nd the 1st game with 2 50 or so carry is the problem for me since i throw harder than most. i also have only 1 ball that i can use and i believe it is not the right drilling 4 that house, but after to speaking to a rep at storm bowling i have a little better knowledgte of what i need.

It would be nice to see a Lou C. Billy Red match some day (night) in Jersey...
Something like a 5 game match, x amount per individual game, x amount for the best of 5, x amount for total wood.
Of course the outside side action bets as they wish...

Lou...Paul and I bowled to around 5:00. Lets just say I won my fair share of Pot Games..including the highest pay out pot which was game 2. Not a good day for "Moose" and the other young cranker by the end of the day. I am sure they will have their revenge another day. We basically just swap money back and forth the majority of the year. LOL!
