SICKLE SHOULD CALL YOURSELF SICKLECELL BECAUSE YOU ARE SO FULL OF SHIT. ERNIE WAS NEVER IN LEMON'S CLASS. WHERE DO YOU GET OFF TALKING ALL THIS BULLSHIT. BOWL ME. I'D FOLLOW YOU AROUND THE COUNTRY. I'M STILL PRETTY GOOD, BOWLING ONCE A WEEK WITH A 205 AVERAGE. I'M TIRED OF ALL THE BS HERE. RICHIE AND LEMON WERE THE BEST. YOU JUST NEVER CAME TO CENTRAL ENOUGH. The only single matches he ever found up there in 67 were against richie. my god schlegel was voted into the pba because he's been out there forever. lemon won 6 stops in about 9 years including the first bower with two majors in one year, 1971, us open and pba national in paramus. earl and the best ever wrw this year only bowlers to accomplish that. If lemon would have bowed ernie every day. max the shy would have been cleaning up from all of ernie's borrowings. you oldtimers just forgot.and ernie bowled jeff at the hub before jeff became great(pre 1976). schlegel could never beat faino whom you idiots forgot about. Just ask berardi how good faino was. HE crushed berardi enud at fiesta.

Ex Degen, You're a certified IDIOT and a BIGOT I might add. I hope someday someone you love doesn't have to depend on a black person saving their lives. They might think twice if they knew how you feel about them. Have you ever taken an IQ test......bet not. So here's the deal Degen. Do yourself a favor and stop making comments about things you know nothing about. Ernie could buy and sell you in a heartbeat. Stop telling me and Sickle St. that you will bowl us just get the money up and we'll do the match. You're a big guy on paper.

stop with the name calling dipshit. JK you are one freaken asshole. Now I understand why you liked schlegel. You and him were lovers. I have more freaken brains in my ass than you in your head. Stay in the sticks where your faggedy ass belongs And stop talking shit. i have more cash then your imbecilic brain can imagine. Another loser like schlegel and berardi. this is my last response to a total brainless twit. you just do not understand my messages jerkoff. Understandable since you're a high school dropout. so long from a college graduate who makes more money than your moronic brain could comprehend. And a bigot dipshit. you should only know whom my friends are. ENUF already. your brain will never understand all of the above since it needs to be lubricated every two minutes.

OK, enough shit. You guys are starting to sound like the kids on other parts of this website. Exdeg, Jk wants to bowl you, you say you average 205. So bowl him and one of you will have to eat crow.
We should all keep arguing about our action opinions and leave out the ugly stuff. It would be sad if we all actually know each other from the old days.
The funny thing is Exdeg, you admitted you never lost on Ernie and then you started calling him a scumbag etc. First of all that was 35 years ago. We were kids. So like I said, let's enjoy the memories and stop all the BS.

To Ex Deg I know who you are and you are a complete joke. I also know who Jk is and as a kid accompanied my dad to enough after hour sessions at Gunpost,Central, etc. JK ,dont waste your time showing up if a match is ever proposed.Exdeg always used a red ball, because he had "weak wrists". His storyabout attending college is just that..a story. He is demented and never became anything in life. Stevie Wonder,JK and the rest of the truly informed and actual bowlers, ignore ExDEG and his infantile tirades. If he continues to ruin this forum,I will update everyone on his identity-bio. Love this site. my family would be very proud.

Don Carter ll, Love the name he was a great bowler. You and Stevie Wonder are absolutely right about Ex-Degen.....lost cause. The question is who are you and how do you know us??? You must have been fairly young if your Dad brought you to the action. Do we know your Dad? I posed a question a while back and if you were at Gun Post and Central you will have an opinion. To my mind there was much more action at Gun Post then there was at Central. As I remember at Central there might be 5 or 6 matches going on at one time and at Gun Post there seemed to be action on almost every pair up and down. Do you agree? Anyway, those were great days and I wish we could have them back. The only thing I regret was falling asleep on those uncomfortable benches and waking up with the sun shining in through the windows.....talk about a degenerate lifestyle.

Stevie Wonder Knows me quite well. As you can see ExDegen seems to have faded into the garbage heap. In my next fly thru N.Y.,perhaps we can all get together??Just not at the Capitol or Golden Rule! How about at the Pearl River Diner? ?

That was me who always shook my head yes and said no. I've been doing that forever. So who are you? Did you bowl action? Did you bowl at Inwood? I just passed by the Capitol the other day and it's still open. We should meet there and have some lunch or dinner or whatever for old time sakes.

JK That's funny ,I always remembered little Nick doing the head thing. Speak to Stevie Wonder ,perhaps he can arrange a'get together'. How about at the 'Apollo' diner in the Bronx??-( I think that was the name)-much better food than the Capital. My next appearance in the NY area should be mid August.

I'm sure you are thinking of the Telstar Diner on Jerome Ave. By far the best diner EVER. I wonder if it's still there? Have to check and I'll let you know.

Telestar was the best. Cheesebugers and fries at midnight with talking until? . Also the bagel bakery with the bialy bakery next door under the el on Jerome. They were different unions then so couldn't be in the same place. Then back to bowling at Stadium, Fiesta, Gunpost, University, Paradise, etc. Amazing we didn't get fat. Guess we worked off the calories staying up all night and bowling.

YOUALL are full of crap. screw the old days. I'd love to see a winner take all one game beteen this idiot Ex-deg, another idiot who calls himself don carter ii, a third idiot named stevie wonder and somebody who rose from the grave, john kennedy, jk. I like the guy who is standing at the end, since you are all too old to finish a game. I have been told by my dad that schlegel was an asshole most of the time.

GLADIWASNOTTHERE. You are a complete moron. Get off this forum. Your father would be ashamed if he saw your post. You aren't funny or clever. And you don't know what we know.
We had fun, gambled like crazy, and could bowl like demons. You are probably 18 or so and any of us could still wipe you out. Of course, you are on an allowance, so winning your stash of twenty dollars isn't much of a challenge.

I may be a youngster compared to you old farts, but I will never be an asshole like you. How smart were you, giving away your paycheck being a degenerate gambler. I'm sure your kids do not know you were a lower form of life in your youth.

I'm sure your kids do not know you were a lower form of life in your youth. It's so typical of what's going on these days, no one bowls or talks action, they all just insult and degrade each other, what a screwed upcollection of loosers.

Wow, Don't include us as losers. This guy "Gladiwasntthere" made statements that justify your theory. Stevie Wonder was just retaliating. Belive me neither of us want's to degrade anyone but we also won't sit still and listen to some mindless geek mouth off about something or someone he doesn't know. It all started when the "ExDegen" got nasty. Oh, and by the way we aren't afraid to bowl some action if the price is right.

The fact is that all the action I participated in when I was in my late teens and twenties gave me experiences that I've used in my later business career. I'm a helluva negotiator and nothing anyone says gets me upset. Not even EXDEG.
I don't regret a minute of the time spent being around all the hustling, it was an education. Also, most of the guys were hilarious.
JK tells the truth.

I was talking about Gladiwasntthere, not you guys, It's been a pleasure reading your posts and they brought back a lot of old memories.
I've also used what I learned from the action I bowled in my everyday life. It's been a great asset besides all the fun and great times from that era, their the most treasured times of my life.

WOW, thanks for the kind words. You are right on the money, sounds corny but, some of the best times of my life too.
Did you go to Central or Gun Post? Did you see Dewey, Ralph, Ernie, Mike, Iggy, etc?
Did you bowl action?

Did you see Dewey, Ralph, Ernie, Mike, Iggy, etc? Did you bowl action? I went to Central just a few times, wish it had been a lot more. I saw Ralph, Ernie, Mike, Iggy, but not Dewey In those days I mainly stayed in at Ave M in Brooklyn, (horn, Lemon, Iggy, Mac & Stoop, Freddie the Ox, Ernie, Petraglia, Roth, and about every big name you can think of) and the rest of the Brooklyn action houses, there was a lot of them in that era. In the seventies I saw a lot of action at Raceway lanes on Saturday nites (horn, jeff, Berardi and many others) one of the best characters from the seventies was the Beeper

do not lie. you started being nasty jk. read back. foti is a right, owns the shop at roosevelt in jersey city and was real tough over 10 years ago before he put on a ton of weight. the beeper is still around and bowling. and wow, you never mentioned the horn at central. am i the only one that knew he and lemon were king there. and wow, i definitely knew you, because i was at raceway every weekend in the late 60s and maybe till 1970 when the action shifted to lyons in new jersey on friday nights.

Jackie, very good post. I know that when we were kids and heard about guys like Lindy Faragalli, Joe Falcaro, Benny McNevich, Lou Campi, Andy Veripapa, etc. We respected them and never would have made fun of anyone who was so great. This jerk kid needs to learn this lesson.

The rest on that list are all legends and I only wish I had seen them bowl live, but I did catch some of them on TV

Jackie, I remember Lou Campi threw off the wrong foot. Saw them on TV also. Whispering Joe Smith was the announcer. The best also included: Harry Smith, Carmine Salvino, Tom Hennesey, Ray Bluth and my favorite Buzz Fazio. The whole alley would stop and watch the show. We used to try an imitate some of them.

I saw just about all the above guys at Neptune Lanes in Brooklyn. They bowled on the all black lanes with white brunswick balls on TV every Saturday nite, Harry Smith did real good, it was a king off the lanes format, the winner came back the next week. I myself bowled action on those lanes against Tommy Dinardo, a really talented bowler, his father Emial had va pro shop and bowled in a lot of the great classic leagues of that era.

Jackie, would love to have seen those guys in person like you did. Remeber Don Carter on the black alleys with a white ball at Manhattan Lanes. He couldn't do anything. Bowled in the 130's on TV.
